Greetings!

It has been 17 years this fall since I began my career at the Princeton Park District and I have seen us expand in more areas than the addition of acreage. Our parks have been enhanced by the dedication of Park Superintendent Keith Scherer and his day-to-day care of each park and their facilities. More growth can be seen in our recreation department with the addition of more programs over the past several years than ever before.

During my past 3 years as the Executive Director I have tried, with the assistance of my Administrative Assistant Tammy Lange, to have the Princeton Park District a more visible district in the eyes of our fellow IAPD/IPRA community. And with the addition of Maintenance Coordinator Mike Anderson the Metro Center has never run more efficiently with his dedication to upgrades and cost effectiveness.

Along with Business Manger Kerri Sissel continuing to grow our membership base and provide the community with rental facilities, our front desk staff provides our patrons with the information required to use our facilities to best meet their individual needs. Included with the above mentioned staff there are many more employees dedicated to their task to enhance the aesthetics of our neighborhoods.

As the blustery weather is nearing, it is my hope that you will glance through the new programs and activities that we have to offer for the upcoming seasons. Each year the Princeton Park District and Bureau County Metro Center continues to advance its mission of providing quality leisure opportunities for the benefit of its present and future citizens. Most importantly, we strive to be fiscally responsible and maintain control over our expenditures while being responsive to your needs and the environment.

As always, I welcome your comments and hope you take the time and enjoy Parks and Recreation in our community.

Sincerely,
Elaine Russell, Executive Director
Princeton Park District/Bureau County Metro Center
