Workplace First Aid and Safety
Combines CPR and First Aid training to teach participants to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants, children, and adults. Learn about first aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, sprains, and strains; treat sudden illnesses, including poisoning and heat and cold emergencies; minimize the effects of shock; recognize emergencies and take action; and understand the role of AED's in the Cardiac Chain of Survival. Useful textbook helps students retain skills and serves as a reference tool in an emergency. This is a great class for teachers, parents, and other childcare providers. CPR Certifications are valid for 1 year and First Aid Certifications are valid for 3 years.

American Red Cross Babysitting Course
Do you like working with children? Are you looking for a job that builds skills such as self-confidence, professionalism,
leadership AND fits into your schedule? If you answered yes to both questions, then you are up for the challenge and
responsibility of becoming an American Red Cross trained babysitter. The American Red Cross Babysitter's Training
course has been newly revised with input from youth just like you. Intended for youth ages 11 to
15, this course provides an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills
that will help you achieve future success in school and life.
Babysitter's Training is fun and fast paced with hands on activities, an exciting video, role playing
and lively discussions! Please bring a lunch.

- Supervise children and infants.
- Perform basic child care such as diapering, feeding and dressing.
- Care for common injuries such as burns, cuts and bee stings.
- Choose safe, age appropriate games and toys.
- Handle bedtime and discipline issues.
- Identify safety hazards and prevent injuries.
- Communicate effectively with parents.
- Find and interview for babysitting jobs.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
Learn lifesaving skills to help keep people safe in, on
and around the water. American Red Cross certification
is recognized nationwide so you can work anywhere in
the U.S. Course participants will learn what it takes to
be a professional lifeguard:
- Job responsibilities
- Patron surveillance skills
- Rescue skills
- First Aid and CPR/AED skills
