Youth Programs

Children will gain confidence in the kitchen during the course of this program. We will teach children safety in the kitchen, the basics of baking, how to follow a recipe from start to finish, and how to set the table. Each class they will be able to eat what they cook and at the ednd of program they will be able to take the class cookbook home with them so they can make their favorite recipes again and again.

Come Why scramble for a sitter when you can bring your kids to Parents Night Out? Check out that restaurant you've heard so much about...catch a movie...enjoy a romantic evening together...hang out with friends...attend a formal social occasion, or must have a quiet night in...all while your kids are enjoying a fun fuled evening of games, swimming, movies, arts & crafts, and much more! Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

The P.E. Zone is a physical education program designed to give your child the physical activity they require. This class provides physical activity through games and exercise all while in a fun filled environment. Get away from the t.v. and couch and enter the P.E. Zone. For those who are home schooled.

Yoga for Kids (ages 6 - 12): This class will explore yoga poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques. Children gain many of the same physical and emotional benefits as adults when participating in a yoga program. Yoga can help children build strength and increase flexibility and coordination. Yoga also promotes a healthy self-image and self-confidence. Children practicing yoga often experience decreases in stress and anxiety. Here is a class designed especially for your needs! Jr. Weight Training will teach warm - up, stretching, and basic weight lifting principals. Learn proper, safe, and beneficial ways to lift under the supervision of our staff. Upon completion of this program, students will receive a card that will allow them to use the weight room. The card must be visible on the student when working out. All participants must take and pass a test to receive card. Hunt for eggs in a new and exciting way. The Easter Bunny has hidden lots and lots of eggs at the Bureau County Metro Center. Hunt for them outside using flashlights. Eggs are filled with many different candies and prizes. The Easter Bunny will be making a special visit to see all who attend the hunt. Sign Up Now to reserve your spot. Please bring your own flashlight and basket or sack. Cost is $5

Middle School (4th & 5th) 7:30 p.m.
Are you too old to hunt Easter eggs, or maybe just looking for a new twist to the same old hunt? Bring your flashlight and a basket or sack to carry home all the goodies the Easter Bunny has hidden. There will be prize eggs and lots of treats. Cost is $5.

Hey Kids! Do you want to have loads of fun over spring break? The BCMC spring break day camp is the place to be! Enjoy swimming, games in the gym, arts & crafts and much more. Please bring a sack lunch, swimming suit, and towel. Children are supervised by BCMC staff. Payments are due before attending camp.
